On May, 9, 2013, at the AGM in Istanbul, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) jointly presented Joint Stock Company The State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (Ukreximbank) with the Trade Facilitation Programme Academic Excellence Award, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the Trade Finance e-Learning Programme in 2012.
JSC Ukreximbank was recognised as the most successful bank from among 127 participant-banks. This award confirms the exceptional qualifications and professionalism of Ukreximbank specialists.
Eight specialists from JSC Ukreximbank successfully completed the training, and received Certificates from the International Chamber of Commerce.
The EBRD and the ICC launched the Trade Finance e-Learning Programme jointly in May 2010, with the aim of helping issuing banks involved in the EBRD Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) to achieve best international practice in trade finance. The programme sets high professional standards for specialists directly involved in documentary and trade finance transactions.
On the presentation of awards to top students of the ground-breaking e-Learning Programme, Executive Secretary of the ICC Banking Commission Thierry Senechal noted: "We are delighted to congratulate JSC Ukreximbank on their outstanding academic achievement. Eight graduates from the same bank, with the highest marks among students from 127 banks is a truly inspiring result, and demonstrates the excellence of the Trade Finance Team at JSC Ukreximbank.”
