30 march 2010Ukreximbank receives Emeafinance Achievement Award 2009Joint Stock Company The State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (Ukreximbank) USD 134.5 million facility was named Best Syndicated Loan Deal in CEE-CIS by Emeafinance magazine.
Despite the severe shortage in syndicated loan volumes globally, with many deals delayed or cancelled, Ukreximbank, being an active and regular player on international market, in June 2009 successfully raised A/B syndicated loan, amounted USD 134.5 million, from the EBRD and international banks. According to the Emeafinance magazine, Ukreximbank USD 134.5 million facility was an unarguable success that showed the markets that it could still attract international funding.
According to Standard Bank, the B-Loan bookrunner, that was the first and to date the only public loan transaction for a Ukrainian bank since the beginning of the crisis. It proved to be a tremendous success, which brought benchmarks back to more acceptable levels.
