JSC Ukreximbank rated AA (ukr) by Fitch National Rating

Fitch ratings has today assigned ’AA (ukr)’ National Long Term Rating with a Stable Outlook to The State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (the JSC Ukreximbank).

JSC Ukreximbank was one of the first Ukrainian banks to obtain National Rating by Fitch after the rating agency has announced the launch of National ratings scale in Ukraine.

According to Fitch definitions, ’AA’ national ratings denote a very strong credit risk relative to other issuers or issues in the same country. The National rating of ’AA+(ukr)’ with a Stable Outlook assigned to Ukraine becomes the benchmark against which all other issuers or issues within Ukraine will be assessed.

JSC Ukreximbank ratings reflect the potential for support from the Ukrainian state should Ukreximbank encounter any financial difficulty. The rating also considers the improvement in the Bank’s asset quality and the development of its business.

In addition to the National rating assigned today, current international ratings for Ukreximbank are: Issuer Default ’BB-(BB minus)’/Outlook Stable, Short-term ’B’.
